DAY 2: TBILISI-MTSKHETA-TBILISI Breakfast at the hotel. Tbilisi City Tour. Sightseeing tour around the capital: Old & New Tbilisi streets, Narikala Fortress and Metekhi church with panoramic views on Old Tbilisi, ancient churches of Anchiskhati and Sioni, Sulphur Baths district “Abanotubani”, famous Chardin street name after a French Missioner, Piece Bridge, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Freedom Square, and many other places of interest. We invite you to visit ancient town of extraordinary importance to the Georgian nation – Mtskheta. Standing on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the town of Mtskheta, formerly the capital of the Kingdom of Iberia. *Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is one of the most sacred places in Georgia and, along with Jvari Monastery, the clear highlight of a trip to Mtskheta. It was founded in 1010, built on the site of Georgia's first church, and contains the graves of the ancient Georgian kings, including Sidonia, who was said to have been buried holding Christ's robe. Due to its historical significance and numerous ancient monuments, the "Historical Monuments of Mtskheta" became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. DAY 3: Tbilisi - Ananuri - Jinvali - Kazbegi - Tbilisi Breakfast at the hotel. The route to Kazbegi leads to Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and lies through Georgian military way, which connected the country with the Northern Caucasus. On the way to Kazbegi, we are going to visit: Ananuri Architectural Complex and Jinvali Water Reservoir is easy via Georgian Military Highway. Continuing the route to Kazbegi through popular Georgian winter resort Gudauri. Arrival to Kazbegi, Stepantsminda. The sightseeing tour includes the visits to: Gergeti Trinity Church is located near settlement Stapantsminda, on the Gergeti Mountain (2200m a.s.l.), one of the highest and most beautiful peaks of Caucasus and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. You can enjoy the breathtaking views to the mount Kazbebi. Mount Kazbegi is the third highest mountain in Georgia and the seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains. The summit lies directly to the west of the town of Stepantsminda and is the most prominent geographic feature of the area. Mt. Kazbek is the highest peak of Eastern Georgia. DAY 5: TBILISI – Sighnaghi -TBILISI Breakfast at the hotel. Kakheti is Georgia’s main wine-producing region in the country’s east. Wine grapes have been cultivated in these lands for 8,000 years, which, archaeologists say, makes Kakheti the cradle of wine. Each village in Kakheti’s fertile valleys makes its unique wine. This living heritage is perpetuated in songs and poems, arts and crafts. In the morning departure from Tbilisi. The walled town of Sighnaghi, restored to its 18th century beauty, is known as a ‘City of Love’ and a city of craftsmen. The monastery now functions as a nunnery and is one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, due to its association with Nino, the 4th-century female evangelist of Georgians. DAY 7: Breakfast ar the hotel Transfer to Batumi on the way to Batumi visit: Visiting one of the unique site of Georgia - Martvili Canyons. Over millions of years, the water has created breathtaking gorge limestone rocks, reaching a depth of 40 meters, at the bottom of which actually the river flows. The total length of the canyon is one kilometer available to reach. In the upper part of the canyon, you can take a boat trip and reach the very beginning with 7 meter high powerful waterfall. Martvili looks and feels like a paradise not only because of its beautiful nature and amazing sites but also because of its inhabitants, who welcome guests in a tradition of warmth and hospitality.
