This beautiful country lies strategically between Europe and Asia. It is home to the Caucasus Mountains villages and beaches.


Its capital city is Tbilisi where you can stroll around the old town enjoying its rich architectural sites seen in ancient churches, monuments, and buildings set against a breathtaking hillside.


Tbilisi is famous for its cobblestone streets in the old town. Open to visitors, people there are very friendly and hospitable.


If you love a glass of wine (Georgia is the one of the oldest wine regions in the world with 8000 years of production) and delicious local food, search no more, you have found your ideal destination!


Ktaisi, Rustavi and Batumi are other cities worth a visit too, with Batumi set to be the New Dubai of the Black Sea as it displays a myriad of attractions, casinos and skyscrapers.

Local Food

The Georgian Cornbread: This delicious bread is also made with Lobio (beans) and Cheese (Over 250 varieties of cheese produced in Georgia). Pkhali Dish: I love this delicious and traditional Georgian Dish of chopped and minced vegetables (cabbage, eggplant, spinach, beans, beets) and combined with vinegar, onions, garlic, herbs and ground walnuts. Pkhali is also called mkhali and is usually served in three types: spinach (on the photo), beetroot and white beans.


Ojakhuri Dish: Another favourite dish. Roasted meat (pork, lamb, chicken or beef) and potatoes. The name of the dish means, family dish in Georgian. Every family has their own variations, recipe and different seasonings for the roast.


Khinkali Dish: This delicious dish is made in Pshavi, Tusheti, Mtiuleti and Khevsureti mountain regions. Twisted knobs of dough, stuffed with meat, spices and a delicious soup. The best way to enjoy, it is to start from top with a fork and biting and drinking the tasty soup. The most popular filling is a pork/beef mix.


Facilities

The Boulevard in Batumi runs along the seaside for 15 km. You can even rent a bike for approx 1.5 Euro per hour.



We have visited Cyprus turkish territory during one day, 2 pax in August. Stefano led us to discover impressive landscapes and typical sites/locations of the area; we have been very satisfied with the high quality service and attitude. We recommend Stefano Holidays Villas!
